So I received the usual CTD email and they had this ammo on there. Anybody shot it? If you did what do you think, worth it or just another fad?

I have no experience with these things, but when I see "optimal energy transfer" used in reference to handgun rounds, I immediately think "snake oil."

Rifle rounds and handgun rounds work differently. Because of their relatively low energy, handgun bullets damage through penetration and the permanent wound channel that results.

The only handgun bullets I shoot living things with are either traditional hollow points or rounds with a large metplat, such as semi-wadcutters.

Just my two cents.

The YouTube videos are cool. I too enjoy shooting milk jugs with expensive ammo.

Ever think that when the cartridge came out, all the folks were saying its a gimmick, a fad and won't work as well as ball and powder. Could be the next step in bullet evolution.

Like Frailer said penteation and premently wounding

A brass slug that expands on impact does nethier.

30 plus years of interier and exterior ballistic study to back that statement up. :llama:
