depends on the vendor. there are a few there that stay reasonable pretty much all the time, and they sell out freaking quick, then there are those that dont and will have ammo all the way through to sunday.....

What day are you going??

I've only been on Fridays and tend to get there very early, between 0600 and 0700. After 0700 or so the wait to get in the gate to park can be a bit long.

The vendor area does not open until 0900.

Take some food and drinks, ear protection and warm clothing. Some type of wet weather gear can be a good thing also.

Like everything else. You will find vendors that have the same ammo but prices will fluctuate from a few dollars to over $25 for the exact same case.
Friday, 9mm and 22LR will go "POOF!" and be gone the first 10 minutes.

If you're going, come and say hi on the subgun range!

Get there on Friday first thing to get the sought after stuff. Last April some guys sold out on Thursday to other dealers.

I plan on checking it out bright and early on Friday, 10-10-14. thanks for the tip. how do you all expect the ammo prices and selection to compare with the gun show this weekend?

Ammo prices have fallen, all you have to do is look at all the mail order places to see. For example, wolf 7.62x39 is back to around $200 per thousand. 223/556 can be had for 300-320, 9mm for a 1000 of brass can be gotten at 240 and up and wolf 9mm I saw recently at 200 per 1000 as well.

I think KCR prices will reflect this or maybe even better in some instances.

Gun show = $8 parking and $12 admission with people lined up to buy them out and non-friendly vendors
KCR = Free parking and $12 admission with Lots of vendors and lots of ammo and they are more friendly

they had IMI 5.56, 500 for $150 last April. Wolf Gold 223, 500/$150 was plentiful then too. 22 rounds were also abundant and reasonable early on Friday. I have recently gotten into reloading so am hoping for some deals on components and powder. anyone have a good experience with these prices there? I did not have the eye for it last time I was there.

Original post was from 3 years ago.

The prices are usually a little less than ordering online. Although this year the prices may be lower due to NO SCARE imminent.

I'm hoping $300 per case of 223 with no tax for the good stuff.

Heck, I haven't seen AR prices this cheap since the late 80's, too bad the ammo doesn't fall in line.
