Client brought gun to me with the previous owner had cut down for a child and then glued back on.
The stock has been refinished.

Where it was glued back was a gap that was filled with wood putty.
I was asked " get rid of the white stuff and make the color match and the gap smooth."
Without damaging the finish.
I laughed and said the stock may need to be refinished.
Here is the end result

The hole is from drilling to deep for a mercury tube into stock. The gun is a BT-99

The gun has a adjustable buttpad

Just plugged hole with a dowel backer and some acraglass.
