Nothing under the scope mounts on top of the receiver.

Looks like a Turkish model
And that work is not bubba,
Seems it looks like something I worked on.

It was done by Mr Kerkindile(?) on 44 between Shepherdsville and Knob Creek. 1985ish is when I got it. He did the work in ruffly 1984-1985. I can remember watching him do some of it. He was a friend of my grandfathers.

I guess demilitarizing it is more appropriate for it.

That's what I think as well. If I seen a full view of buttstock could get a better idea as well.

You can get a 308 barrel for around $100+ and make it a really decent target/deer rifle.

Funny the bolt looks like a forged one I would do.
I did the same thing during that time frame.

Pretty sure I'm going to have it rebarreled in 7mm Mauser and some other work done to it because I have a more original shape 7mm that I'll never get rid of. Both guns from my grandfather.

He was old when he was doing this work. I'm guessing he passed years ago. Can't remember his first name, never called him by it. My dad or grandfather would have probably knocked my teeth out if I ever had...haha
