DSArms M4 upper on a New Frontier poly lower

Post by kyswede » Mon Aug 20, 2012 9:27 pm

I fired my 5.56 cal. AR for the 1st time today. My SIL and I shot 100 rounds of PMC Bronze 55 gr. fmj .223 ammo with no failures to feed, fire, or extract/eject. All brass landed within 6 feet of the muzzle, slightly to the right. We only lost 1 pc. of brass in the grass. At first, the bolt would stay back after each shot, needed to hit the bolt release each time. Near the end of shooting 100 rounds, it got a lot better. A couple of times the charging handle barely hit my in the right cheek when firing. I don't believe the charging handle is supposed to move when firing. I may to check some clearances. Everything was brand new except for the BCG and surplus mags. Here is a target I shot at 25 yards, orange dot is 3" diameter. This is 10 shots, the hole just above bullseye is 2 shots. We shot from my picnic table with a bag under the handguard. Magpul rear sight and standard M4 sight tower.
