My personal report/review

This is more about how I shoot, because you can only go so far no matter how modded your weapon is.

I've been battling pistol issues for a couple years now. For the most part I'm self taught, and limited on ways to correct problems.
Taking a step here to not show off how badass I may be, but to show that I need to do more work.

Went to the local private range, and these are my results at 10 yards...

A majority of the "flyers" are due to being in between AR's, that's my excuse.

There are a lot of inconsistencies... especially with grip and trigger squeeze. At the end of day it comes down to... fundamentals fundamentals fundamentals

I personally think who ever made those excuses up for those targets are mildly autistic.

Breathing in and out, muscle flex and lots of other stuff contribute to missing the X.

I need work, a lot. First step is admitting a problem, right?

Grip the gun and press the trigger straight back.

At 10 yards both of these are more important than sight alignment.

I will work on becoming more religious with dry fire drills. I hope to show improvement the next range trip.

If you really want to improve, try dry fire drills with a laser. Watch the dot as you pull through the trigger. You will be amazed at how much the dot dances around.

When you can stroke through the trigger with a minimum of movement on the dot, the X will quail in fear, forever.

Crush, kill, mangle, maim, destroy.

I've been extremely busy this year and out of town pretty consistently since January. However, things should slow down in May for a bit, so if you ever want to try to link up for a range training session just let me know and we can get it worked out.

Honestly, I think that would be awesome, and would probably have a friend tag along too.

One thing that helps me with milking the cow, and overall better trigger finger, is learning to isolate the trigger finger from rest of my hand. I do this by repititious excercises of imaginary pistol gripped in totally loose fingers, and repetititions of pulling trigger. Try it. Then when all fingers stay still except trigger finger, do it a few hundred times, every week to build the bodys memory.
