Range day yesterday with two new rifles. First up was the Armalite which started out poorly. Firing pin was bad ( Nice QC) lucky I had a spare. Fired about 30 rounds of fmj and soft point all steel case. No issues and accuracy was amazing. My new favorite AR.

Next up the TC Compass $200 after rebate. The Scope cost more than the rifle. Very nice trigger and accuracy was also excellent. Ended up sticking with Federal 50 gr hollow point in the end from the Shooters Supply sale. I like the oversized bolt handle for ease of use. You should get one of these rifles if you don't have one. Excellent buy for around $200.

Pretty hot yesterday so didn't shoot more than an hour.

I've been intrigued by the 7.62x39 uppers. I've seen them pretty cheap, my concern was reliability of the round in the ar platform. Thanks for the report.
