And.....now I'm bored. The lower is finished. That was a lot easier than I thought it would be.

Glad it went smooth for u man. Lots of people end up surprised at how easy it is lol. It's more like "assembling" pieces and it's usually pretty easy. Welcome to the black rifle disease :)

I was surprised really. Did the whole thing in my lap while I was watching season four of Breaking Bad. No need for a vice for the lower, though it would have made things a bit easier a couple of times.

Yeah. Some tools make it a tad easier but it all depends on how many u wanna do. I've prolly put together 15-20 in the last year and a half lol. All done mainly with punches and minimum other tools. A sickness I tell ya!

In the interest of full disclosure, I should add something here. When I was putting my front pivot pin in I was patting myself on the back about how the detent had given me no problem at all. Just as my head swelled, the little bastard popped out, shot across the room, bounced off the wall, then off the ceiling and landed back in my lap.

Guess it just wanted to remind me not to get too cocky.

Well. I don't still have them all lol. They've came and went. Grab deals on lowers when I see em or parts kits. Lord knows I can't have a stripped lower sitting around :) put it together. Sell it. Get bored do another. Some of those I helped my brother with and a friend.

No. Not complete. Maybe half that were complete. Any one I thought I was gonna keep got completed. Others sat around waiting to get finished. Ended up sold.

Just did some math. $444.59 invested in the lower. Building ARs might be an expensive hobby.

Yeah, but that includes the transfer fee, taxes and one PMag. The stock was $105, but it was what I want.

However you break it down, it was $115 out the door. No complaints from me.

I've seen a few of these being sold complete minus buffer, tube, and stock for much more. I wouldn't have complained had I have to pay $115.

No problem guys. Happy to pass it along. $95 otd is a great deal IMO. Spikes was charging $115 for a single lower plus $15 shipping. Plus whatever one would pay for transfer. Much thanks to cranky for being the man and saving some money for all as well. +1 to rustynuts for paying the fee anyways. It's a lot of paperwork and time on crankys behalf and I'm sure he appreciates it. It's a bad ass lower and I'm glad all got in on it
