There has been a lot of talk about some of us doing 3 Gun. So here is the next match.

Remaining 2016 Match Schedule (usually 4th Saturday).

SCORES… are posted on Practiscore.com, usually a couple of hours after the match and official the following Wednesday.
We will be using pre-registration via PRACTISCORE. You must pre-register to shoot!!! We will take all match fees day of at morning sign-ups . We will squad morning of match. If you register and can NOT come, please email me ASAP so someone can have your spot. If the match is full, please email me at Greg”at”BIGBOREperformance “dot” com to get on wait list.
************1st time 3gunners must shoot at least one other action shooting pistol/3gun match before coming to our 3 Gun match******
Check the BGSL website for other action shooting matches, e.g. USPSA, IDPA, etc.
BGSL WILL BE USING THE IMG RULES THIS YEAR.
ALL SHOOTERS NEED TO BE AT SIGN-IN BY 9:15 am! We will try to start at 10am. ( Please come help set up at 8:15 if you are within an hour drive).
Round Count
It is safe to bring the following:
100 rds rifle
100 pistol
75 shot
10 slugs
10 buckshot
(Of course you can also just shoot the A/B or Center zone with 1 round and save some more ammo!
NO shot larger that #7.5 is allowed.
NO slugs over 1500 are allowed on steel.
NO STEEL CORE AMMO!!!

I'll be trying again... I need to get some slugs. I don't have a single slug. Any suggestions you might have for us noobs?

I'm already planning on shooting an IDPA match in Lexington Thursday unless something comes up.

I have a M&P with a magwell 140mm mags, an AR with a 1x4 optic and a benelli m2 with a mag extension. I am registering for tac ops. Now to go buy some of the ammo I am missing. Even if I come in dead last I still get to shoot in a new setting so I am already a winner I guess haha

There is an idpa match at bluegrass sportsman's league. Saturday if you don't make it to the Thursdays match.

Any idea where to get 12ga slugs that meet the requirements? Academy, walmart, and dicks are a bust. Hitting cabelas in Lexington in the morning hopefully they will have some.

Cabelas had the herters stuff, clocks at 1400fpsome according to the box. Got what I needed. $6 for 10 shells wasn't bad.

I'm still not sure if I'm making it or not... I'm trying to get out of a few things Sat. I picked up ammo in hopes I'll be able to though.

Well according to an update to the KY Shooters FB group we wont be needing slugs or buckshot. Looks like its gonna be a mix of short range distances.
BGSL 3-Gun - Sat, Sept. 24
UPDATE: Match will consist of six stages (max 50 yard rifle this month). Round count is approx. 75 rifle, 75 pistol and 45 shotgun (no buck, no slug) and depends on how you want to shoot the stages - 3 of the 6 stages feature shooter options as to firearm choice. Setup on Friday afternoon, 9/23, if you can help. Otherwise, help needed match morning at 8am.

Thanks hopefully I can improve some before next match. Gotta work on my shotgun reloads, fine tune my pistol marksmanship and improve my mental game.
