That's the biggest thing about us I think, is that people not only share with others but they actually go out of their way to talk you into shooting something new or cool you haven't.Niceguy wrote:Glad to see you all made it out. I've been to several of the Roosters get together's. Will definitely be back. Daughter enjoyed it & even mentioned joining the forum. Thanks to Recoil for letting me try out the Kimber & letting Rachel shoot your AR. First time she's shot a rifle so she needs some practice & a little more arm strength.

I'm just glad you shot the SCAR. It would have been too embarrassing for you if I had held you down and made you shoot it. It didn't take much arm twisting to shoot such a cool gun and thanks again. I didn't need that in my head after liking it messing up my next ak purchase.Gunsmokin wrote:I'm just glad you shot the SCAR. I had a few FN pistols I carried for a couple years actually I believe it was but always went back and forth with my Glocks. Got rid of to buddies who aren't gun guys that wanted their first pistol and the external safety made them feel better. I typically don't sell anything until recently.

Yes, Geissele Super SCAR was awesome. Much more like one of their enhanced/DMR triggers than their standard style SSA/G2S/SD-C. I could have stayed behind that thing breaking clays all day. Muchas gracias

Being in Little Ohio (NKY), both are about an equal pain the ass for me to attend. I'd be down for KAC Eastrichief wrote:Glad ye all had a good time, sounds like fun. I gather the majority of the guys here are near Louisville, and much fewer from the eastern half. Would like to partake in the commaraderie too, but pretty far for mountain folks like me. If there is ever a KAC East gathering, count me in. Till then I'll prob be on the outside looking in. Slainte

Re: KAC Shoot And Get Together, Sun Feb 28th 2016
Thanks to everyone for coming out yesterday, it's good from time to time to see the faces behind the screen names. (Even if I can't connect a name to a face for more than 5 minutes ).
A big thanks to everyone who brought food and supplies, many of you went above and beyond.
A big special thanks to rustynuts for dragged his grill out yet again and cooking the burgers and brats.
A big thanks to the KAC fire dept for putting out the hill fire.
Great people, great food, great guns, great Feb weather (again).
As far as the final money count, the total haul today was $290. So the math works out as follows
Total fees collected = $290
Range rental fee = $150
Which leaves $140
Overage from previous shoot = $20
So $160 will go into the shoot piggy bank.
Now the question is, what do we do with the $160?
Do we
a) Make the next shoot (June) free for everybody.
b) Buy something for the shoots.
c) Roll it over and add it to whatever overage we get the next shoot(s) to buy something really nice.
d) I go Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

B) or C), depending on cost.
KAC Communal Steel would be awesome. Buy a couple plates, medium and small, and the guys here can put something together as far as mounting goes. RecoilSensitive knows a plate guy.

My vote is for 2. Maybe use it for the main grocery shopping. The meat, cheese, plates and utensils, chips, drinks, whatever stuff like that.WLJ wrote:Thanks to everyone for coming out yesterday, it's good from time to time to see the faces behind the screen names. I like this idea also. Only issue is down the road. IF anything ever comes of KAC not making it or the FF's calling it quits, someone that contributed will sure to be butt hurt over $10.Whootsinator wrote:B) or C), depending on cost.

I'm heading to the pawnshop to see how much I can get for this 1911 that was left there.
BTW: I'm just joking, I know who it belongs to and they've already been contacted.

If someone is going to get butthurt over a few dollars then they can
a) Stay home
b) Organize their own shoots
c) Join another forum and go to their shoots
d) STFU

I definitely agree... Just saying that at some point the odds are high. 50% of people get completely stupid over a few bucks in trying situations.
