Xds. Carried and shot one most of the day yesterday. Willing to give it a longer shot.
Forget carrying an XDs in your pocket. I use the supplied holster and I conceal it real well. Though I can conceal a full size M&P in the same type of holster. I am really on the fence about selling it, but shooting it with 230 gr vs. 165 gr. low recoil rounds. I enjoy shooting it with the low recoil SD rounds. The full target rounds are a bit much when shooting for practice.

I saw the other day the XDS 9mm's are out now.

I'm almost tempted to sell my shield to pick up a g19 but will probably just wait until I can get one outright.

The shield just carries so nice in a comp-tac CTAC.

When I get back in the states, my XDs will prob be traded to a 9mm Shield.

But apparently not good, either. :llama:

I wondered about that, since you mentioned the Glock 26 was like a brick. The Glock 30 is a cinder block in comparison.

Its thick yes. I thibk it was belt and hokster placement. Once. I got a goid belt and seated it right its not too bad.
Belt is everything! Some people just aren't meant to carry bigger guns. I started on bigger guns so they aren't a problem. My smallest carry guns are 26/27.

Yep!
If you wear a thin belt it make a PF9 feel like a brick. A good thick belt will make a 1911 carry like a cell phone.

I carry my glock 30sf all the time. With a good holster and belt you won't know it's there. Dressing for is important to. I'm looking for a glock 19 next. I like my 17i have but the large grip length makes it print more.

Small enough though that i canpocket carry it. Glock 26= brick. Dress pants is a no go.
Is the thickness the big difference? Hard to tell in the picture, I'm looking on my phone. When you trade or sale this next week I may be interested...haha

I compared my XDS to my dad's PPKS this past weekend. XDS is a tiny bit bigger in most dimensions, but not a lot, weight was about the same loaded. The sights are a million times better, the slide is easier to manipulate, the bullets are a lot bigger, and I'm only short two rounds with the flush fit mag. If the XDS was a 9mm the round count would be the same.

Thickness
Grip
Slide length

I could care less if it has a few less bullets than the glock. Aother mag aint hard to carry
I agree, finding something I'm comfortable carrying that has only 5-8 rds beats the shit out of carrying nothing at all...

The stainless slide is another nice plus to the Kahr, as well. It also has a very nice DAO trigger in it. Another nice feature is that almost any 9mm mag made for any Kahr pistol will fit and function, as was pointed out recently in one of the for sale thread discussions on here recently.

ETA: I belive that I may have come across the perfect CCW pistol: The Sig P938. Good caliber, fair to good capacity, workable trigger, great size and even better weight. Truly all one could ask for in such a pistol, but oi!, the expense! The one true downside to the pistol. Everything else about it is just about as close to perfection as one could ask. If they ever make a double stack version of it while maintaining it's slim profile, perfection would be permanantly achieved!

If they just weren't so damned expensive!

Meh. Messed around with one, toyed with getting one, almost had one, didn't work. I don't think i missed much, especially with the issues. Now its kind of like taking a gamble on the used market if your pistol is going to be ok or have to be sent off.
If it hasn't been repaired I wouldn't buy one used. With it repaired I have no problem trusting it. And I have pocket carried it. Usually IWB it with a 5rd mag in it and two 7rd mags on the other hip.

Are the CM and PM models same size, just different options or are they totally different guns?
