as a bigger guy (250+) it took me some time to find the right way to carry. but i found with my IWB AG clock tuck 3 in the 3'clock - 3:30 works best. but i just ordered a Fist high ride OWB and cant wait to try that out!

I'm sure the masses here will recommend a quality holster.

Commonwealth Holsters are fat guy approved by me! haha At the 3:30ish position. G19, Shield, G17, M&P22c, all feel great.

As a fat guy, not calling you that, never met you, nothing OWB and "high ride" works for me. It pushes the gun too far out if you have a gut or love handles. It's been my experience, that if you have to carry OWB, lower works better. YMMV.

I have multiple Commonwealth Kydex holsters and as Johnny said, they are fat man approved.

I have both Alien Gear (all three generations) and a Commonwealth Kydex for the same gun and I'm a big guy.
I like them both but use the AG more.

Agreed. The lower you can get the gun the better. If you have a gut on you.

well iv gone out with the fist high ride twice now. the first time i had it at 4 o'clock. and it rode ok there. took some getting use to having a gun that high up when sitting down. the second time i put it at 3 o'clock. and it rode well there too. and prints a lil less as 3. with all that said most of my gut is all in my front with very little on my side.

Holy thread resurrection Batman.

I too am fat. Kydex hasn't worked for me IWB. Neither has leather and I do agree about lower is certainly better.

Then I tried the N82 holster, the original without the Kydex and I can honestly say I sometimes forget the gun is there. I can't get the stretchy material the gun slides into to fire the gun but it is a concern. I just don't holster unless I remove the holster from my pants/belt. So still not a perfect solution but at least not miserable to wear. And most importantly...I WILL wear it. I also use Desantis Nemesis pocket holsters a lot. For us large folks our pockets are usually genenrous enough that anything up to a G26 or for me even a G19 can be carried in the the pocket holster.

I prefer carrying OWB but it just creates issues for the people around me in public and the clothes I prefer to wear don't hang down enough to coneal it well.
