She was wrong. Good intentions aren't always smart, legal, or practical. I feel she is lucky with the sentence she got.

Exactly. She was in no danger and had no reasonable argument of fearing for her life or protecting her self or family. She made a stupid mistake. While i somewhat agree with "what she learned", she still doesn't get it IMO.

On what she learned, i think we all know it is the responsibility of anyone carrying a gun to 100% know the law and be 100% sure that when you pull and fire that you are right.....if not, well then good luck to you.
