Conceal carry in Indiana
I have a conceal carry permit that I got in the state of Kentucky. Handgunlaws.us states that Indiana honors the Kentucky permit. Does that mean I can legally conceal carry in Indiana? Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Conceal carry in Indiana
I hope that is correct because I carry in Kentucky and live in Indiana-pretty sure its reciprocal

Yes, Indiana has reciprocity with KY permits. Just check the laws regarding CC in Indiana as every state has it's own little nuances as to when and where it's legal to carry.

Re: Conceal carry in Indiana
yes. And according to the Indiana Statutes you can open carry with a valid permit from a reciprocity State.
Places off limits include the State Fair, Schools, non-school property that is being used for a school function, river boats, shipping ports. There are a few others. Falls of the Ohio is also a no carry zone.
There is a preemption law in place, so local gov't cannot further regulate beyond State law, but I know I read about a grandfathered in city park in Indy, I just cannot find it now. Not that you will be anywhere near Indy, just a FYI that it still may in place should you travel there.

We always go to thunder but we enjoy it from the Indiana side. We are usually on the strip right down from the fall of the rough. Anything I should be concerned about?

I would not think so. You are not in the Falls of the Ohio State Park.

Right there at the street corner close to Colgate park ,they block it off and wand people and do random searches. This is going towards the Falls where the park is across the street from the houses.ChopperDoc wrote:1fastmach1 wrote:We always go to thunder but we enjoy it from the Indiana side.
