Somebody Spending Money

Post by HAHAI1 » Sat Mar 03, 2012 10:00 pm

I stopped by two local gun shops in my area today and after walking in appeared as if he was going out of business. Owner said he has been selling like there will be no tomorrow. Says he can not get enough guns in his store. He has a small shop and carries new/used items. Kinda shocked me for a moment cause his back wall of rifles was 3/4 empty and pistol cases were not very full.

Two things

1) Tax refund time, it's always busy this time of year for that reason
2) Election year panic
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

I set up at the flea market today for the first time this year and near everyone that came passed and saw ammo on the table asked if I had any firearms for sale or if I knew of any other vendors that had firearms... No where near as many people selling them like last year but a bunch were buying.....

I personally have been buying reloading supplies and bulk 5.56. I just told myself at the first of the year to be happy with what i have and make sure i have plenty of ammo. Which has made me shoot more and reload more since deciding this!

You have to be careful with the glock 22's, there are lots of police gun trade-in's out there. Classic Arms in lexington had a bunch for somewhere in the 300's. I think Sherwood had some as well.

For me? Yes it is high. Other people it might not. With the 3 mags, generally it is a police trade-in.

$400 is the price I usually pay for a 3rd gen Glock. That's usually a FTF price though. I think I say a gen 2 19 for 319 a while back. It was a little rough but its a Glock and they work.

What's wrong with a LE trade? Some have more holster wear and dings but they typically function fine as someone's life depended on it. I don't like buying LE trades sight unseen but if yo can check it out offer 400 out the door And enjoy.

Nothing is wrong with them usually except they tend to flood the market. When that happens, it is supply and demand. The more the supply goes up, the more the price comes down. Generally. If dealers are selling them for 350 and you buy one ftf for 425 and decide to get it rid of it a week later, it may be harder than you think to do.
