BMW Mechanic around Louisville????

Post by Next » Sun Sep 05, 2021 3:30 pm

Picked up a 2009 335I and it will need maintenance soon and wondering if someone could recommend a good BMW shop? Don't need anything today, just wanted to know my options other than the dealer.

Thank You

I could fix you up with, Jimbob, my distant, toothless cousin from an inbred mother on my uncle Darryl's side.

He say's he can fix it without nuttun but some balin' wire and duck tape!

lOl, good luck, any bmw specialty person is going to rape you....dealer will do it twice

a lot of the maintenance is easy to do yourself (brakes, replacing filters, lights, even AC element under dash--use to have these in our older one), just look online for how to do it.

when my wife took her car in and the bmw dealer charged her 500 bucks for brakes and rotors and got the wrong rotors twice, I figured I could do it. (150 at most) .

Most regular mechanics can do regular stuff cheaper. Brakes need a sensor....rockauto

My Z3 doesn't go to dealer and only went to specialist once (that i use to use long ago) and the specialist was too busy lying to me to get things done right.

Ask for Bill at St. Matthews Imports. They not going to be cheap but he will be honest with you. Plus hes a gun nut too, ask if his savage is a one hole gun yet.

I will need brakes and I see that FCP Euro has the parts for about $400 for all four tires. Not sure I want to mess with doing it "Myself" I changed out cabin and air filters already. Oil was recently done so good there. Odd how this car has no dip stick. It is a 2009 that has 74,xxx miles so felt good about buying an older car. It is also very fun to drive. :)

Bought it for my daughter who just turned 16 and she likes it so i'll keep it a while until small SUV's come back in stock then it will be MY toy.

rotors on all bmw wheels I have done have to be pounded off to change. 5 lb baby sledge. Don't know why, but word of warning.

I just go around outer edge til it falls off...never fails.
