Do you have any information about your existing light, the one you want to add, and what you expect for the future? It’s all very important to build a system that fits your current ( no pun intended) needs and possible future improvements.

Currently, you can direct bury a 12-2 uf-b cable from your lb to your light and make it work with minimal work.

If you just want your light to work, do that. As a homeowner (and taxpayer) that’s all most people want to pay for.

You can make joints in the pole if you have access to the connections.
