Suggestions for laptop for highschool student
I know that some of the people on here are much more informed than I am about technology. My son will be a sophomore in highschool this year and it seems that a good portion may be on the Non Traditional Instruction format. The end of last semester he used an older desktop computer at home. It is out of date, 5 years at least. I am thinking of a laptop for home use and at school when appropriate. Hopefully through his senior year, 3 years from now.
Now the real question. What should I look for? Processor, Ram, hard drive, etc.. I want a computer up to the needs, not necessarily a gaming screamer! Which is what I am certain he would suggest. HaHa. Looking for at least what is used in his classrooms or a bit better.
Thank you in advance for your input, Geno

Re: Suggestions for laptop for highschool student
Ill jump in and add my two cents. Now I am not a computer person technical wise but that is why my opinion is worth something in the brand dept. I have had nothing but Dells for years and they have always worked and lasted years after years of constant use and work from home and constant streaking etc and they all just work. Real world experience, the numbers I only know basics about but Dell is good quality from my experience.

Appreciate all the help. I bought one on Amazon with the specs suggested. Made by Dell. Right at $400.00. Better than I expected. What a wealth of knowledge on this site!
