trying to find a very old thread

Doesn't fit in the other categories? Maybe just want to post up some humor or random happening? This is the place for it.

trying to find a very old thread

Post by BK Meyers » Sat Jul 21, 2018 8:00 pm

Back a few years ago (maybe early 2012 to late 2011) I purchased a Taurus PT1911 from a member of the board at that time.

I am trying to find that "for sale" thread. The pistol has been fantastic and due to buying it I have purchased a number of 1911 pistols since then.

The Taurus in question has some modifications done to it. I think the beaver tail grip safety was one of those mods. I am trying to replicate the feel of this pistol on another 1911 but am unsure which aftermarket beaver tail to purchase.

Mods, is it possible to find old thread from the For Sale forum from the time frame of mid-2011 to mid-2012 with the key word Taurus??

Thx

There is a search function but the only Taurus 1911 thread I can find of that age is one for a 9mm version. Mods may have some better luck than I though.

Sure it wasn't the forum that shall not be mentioned? The date range you mentioned would fit.

The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.

Perhaps, but I think it was from this site. Here is a thread from early 2012 where I mention the purchase:

Think I found it on the "other" forum
Just put PT1911 in the search box
I can't post a link because they tend to get deleted

Blued but not polished. Standard Taurus finish.

I have a Colt Competition that either needs some mods to make it better (for me) or I need to sell it. The mods on this Taurus are some of what I want to do to this Colt if I keep it.
