Most you have paid for a meal?

Doesn't fit in the other categories? Maybe just want to post up some humor or random happening? This is the place for it.

I’ll be spending an evening in a nice setting with my favorite person in the world, marking 34 years of marriage to her.

I think I will enjoy it very much.

I know where you are coming from Jack, I used to think the same way. You only live once and can't take that mattress full of cash with you when you turn to dust.

Yep. Only difference between food and anything else is how long you get to keep it

Yeah but I don't need to be ripped off along the way either. Everyone has a number and it is different. I didn't see anyone eat dinner that was $2000 dollars. I would think that most here and most people everywhere would think that is ridiculous. It is all just a discussion and fun to have. Underwear...people wouldn't pay $350 for a pair of underwear yet the same exact markup as lots of the food stories here apply amd you wear the underwear more than 1 time. You are wrong though about taking it with you, that shit is coming with me!

Chef at Outback makes about $10 per hour and could care less about medium well, plus the cuts of steak are about the same as your local Kroger butcher shop.
Chef at Jeff Ruby's graduated from Bellarmine with a Culinary Arts degree and makes about $25 an hour plus the cuts of steak are aged beef that melts in your mouth. The mac and cheese is all prepared there and not out of a Sysco box.
When you have a meal prepared by a true chef and not an 18 year old kid, there is a big difference. You pay for what you get. Just like that $10 Casio vs. a $5K Omega
