Neither fish nor fowl! TAC14

Post by Geno » Sun Apr 08, 2018 5:20 pm

I just picked up a Remington pump action firearm in 12 gauge. TAC14. Not NFA. Not a shotgun. Not a pistol. Just firearm. Just plain FUN. They may be good for home defense but as a range blaster it excels. At 7 yards the load of #8 birdshot was roughly a foot across. I will put a good hand stop on the forend soon just so the number of digits on my left hand stays consistent. Magpul forend has small lips for and aft but I will be more confident with more positive stop. The videos I've seen suggest an isometric push from birdshead grip and pull from the forend to stabilize and ease sighting from about 5 inches in front of your face. They're right the rear drops fore goes up. No blackeye or bloodied nose for me today! I'll also get a single point QD sling point from GG&G to keep it near while on the tractor or whatever we end up doing with it. Remington did well with this item, considering the turds they've been putting out recently. Geno

I bought the mossy version back in the fall. Its fun as hell to shoot. I just wish I could find some of those mini shells. I already bought the adapter for it to make it run smoother
