oak furniture spruce up ideas??

I inherited a nice antique cabinet from my Mom's estate. I believe it is oak but I know very little about wood. It is a solid wood (no veneer) and nice looking.

I would like to "freshen/spruce up" the finish but am not interested in a total sand & stain refurb. I have used Murphy's Oil Soap on a wooden pub table and chair set a few years back and was pleased with that but the tables and chairs had a glossy finish on them. The cabinet does not.

What have some of you used??

I like to use Johnson's paste wax and boiled linseed oil on oak, as long as it doesn't have polyurethane on it. It didn't sound like it did. I apply it with some 0000 steel wool. Take the steel wool and put a small amount of linseed oil on the wood and lightly rub it in with the steel wool. Let it dry for a day or so. Apply the paste wax with the steel wool, just like the linseed oil, and then buff it with a cloth. It leaves the wood looking great.

Great for old paint too that you don't want to change

I rechecked the finish and I can see a bit off gloss. Not super shiny but enough to know it is there. Didn't notice it in the room at Moms place but the room we put it in is lit better.

Due to the finish I'm going to either try the Howards Restor-A-Finish or the Murphy's Oil Soap. Leaning towards the Howards.

Thx
