A reminder to change your vehicles cabin air filter

Post by BK Meyers » Fri Oct 06, 2017 8:56 pm

If you have a car/truck that has a cabin air filter here is a reminder to change it. I just changed the one in my Fusion. Supposed to change every 12K miles. I didn't realize how long it had been and ended up running 30K miles on this filter. YEEEIIIKES it was filthy!!!. I've been fighting sinus issues for the last few months and am hoping this helps clear it up.

An inexpensive $10 filter and just a few minutes of time (if you are able to change it yourself).

John M. Browning and the 1911 made some men more equal than others.

Some models have to have the glove compartment totally removed to get to the filters. The newer F150's really suck.

Meant to write $10 for my Fusion. Should have been more specific.

Dumb design and shame on the makers that do this.

Yep

They want you to go back to the dealer and pay $80 an hour labor.

Reminds me of how difficult some manufactures make it to change out a fuser in a business class laser printer.

HP: Open door, flip two levers, remover old fuser, insert new fuser, flip levers, close door.
Brother: Took a three hour (not including a break for lunch) training session for one of their techs to show you how to do it and if you had 5 screws or less left over and had all the wired connections routed and connected properly on the first go afterwards you were a master level expert.
There are criminals among us who are both homicidal and incorrigible. Their parents took a shot at civilizing them and failed. Their school teachers took a shot at them and failed. The odds are overwhelming that government welfare programs and penal institutions took a shot at them and failed. If it ever becomes your turn to take a shot at them, don’t fail.
