He broke EVERY basic safety rule, not just 1 or 2.
1) Treat every gun as if it were loaded - FAIL, he didn't check the weapon after unholstering it.
2) Don't point a gun at something you do not intend to destroy - FAIL, he pointed the pistol at a door he was unfamiliar with.
3) Keep your finger off of the trigger until you're ready to fire - FAIL, he deliberately pulled the trigger in an unsafe direction.
4) Know what you're shooting and what is behind it - FAIL, he aimed at (and shot) a door without knowing what was behind it.
