Looking for a Range!

Hello everyone. Need some help here. I am looking for a range to host a shoot for a non profit organization. Here are some of the details.

The Organization is Sheep Dog Impact Assistance. Here is the website. http://sheepdogia.org/ Here is the Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/Sheep-Dog-Impa ... 702112012/

I was at a benefit for them a couple of months back. They are a great group of people doing great things for 1st responders and veterans. While I was there we started talking about shooting. I told them I do machine gun rentals and they said that was something they have always wanted to do. I said we could set something up.

Well its looking like its a go. Bad thing is there is going to be way to many people for me to have at my small range. So I am looking for a range that could help us out. It would be for 1 day and we are looking for it to possibly be on June 3rd.

The NRA is on board and wants to donate towards ammo and I am supplying the guns. Just looking for someone to help with the range. If you guys have any ideas on where a good place to do this would be that would help a lot. I thought about asking Knob Creek or New Haven. I don't really keep up on the ranges around here because in 10 years I have gone to about 5.

Knob Creek and Rock Castle are the two big ones that come to mind. New Haven might even be too small, depending on the structure and number of people. It's not hard to cram a bunch of people into New Haven, but it's harder to do it in a safe, structured manner.

It would be very structured. Only a couple guys at a time shooting. Thanks For the info.

I assume you've been there. The firing line itself is plenty large enough to have a dozen people firing at once if you have the eyes to watch them. My concern would be space for logistics.... space for the people who aren't firing, parking, etc.

I'd go check out New Haven, then. See it for yourself and decide if it's big enough.

See about renting the lower range at knob creek. They let orginization use it without having to play the public range game.

I'm not sure what your time frame is, but maybe even the above could work.
