LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) - A stolen Corvette crashed into a Louisville gun store early Wednesday morning and firearms were stolen, according to police.

Louisville Metro Police Department spokesman Dwight Mitchell said 7th Division officers were responding to an alarm at Tilford's Gun Shop at 3411 Fern Valley Road about 5 a.m. when a second call for service was received indicating that a Corvette had crashed into the side of the building.

Mitchell said an unknown suspect or suspects used the stolen car to breach entry into the front bar security gates by ramming the building.

Mitchell said the store's owner is conducting an inventory to determine how many firearms were stolen.

Police have no suspects at this time.

Anyone with information about the case should call 502-574-LMPD (5673).

Slingpoint firearms in Lexington had this done several years ago. Smash and grab, think they found the culprits eventually. I believe they used a PT Cruiser.

They eventually installed pillars in front of the store. I guess they thought the bars on the windows and doors would stop a car.

The issue got compounded cause the owners crazy Chica wife showed up when they heard about it and she was on probation from stabbing a gas station attendant with a pen over in Richmond. She had all sorts of trouble from being around the guns even though they owned the business and she was trying to help her husband. The husband eventually pursued for exporting Smith & Wesson junky pistols (SW9VEs) I think to GHANA. They eventually gave the business to one of their employees (for wages owed) and got the judge to agree to let them move back to TX where he and she were from.

She was also the leader of getting hot girls that were scantily dressed to work the Slingpoint tables at local gun shows for a while.

Tilford's Discount Guns, located in the 3400 block of Fern Valley Road, was burglarized after a stolen vehicle crashed into the building around 5 a.m. Wednesday. Suspects entered the store, stole firearms and fled.

The owners of the store posted on their Facebook page that two guns -- glock and Kimber .45 caliber pistols -- were stolen. They plan on reopening on Monday, Aug. 8.

After going through all that trouble they only took two hand guns?????
