Excellent. Put StaBil 360 in all the gas, and it will run forever. Also don’t have to worry about winterizing it.

I use the cans of premix in mine. Cost more but it’s worth it. Doesn’t contain all the crap the gas around here does so carb stays cleaner.

Yes. There’s several of them out there. All I use in my 2cycles engines anymore. Several manufacturers recommend it now

started using a light rechargeable trimmer two years ago due to the back issue. Haven't gotten the gas one out in a bit.

Me too. I have a full size 18v lipo Ryobi that will do anything my Husqvarna will do, but with zero carb issues. I need to put a new carb and hoses on the Husqvarna again and sell it.

That’s my big problem with trimmers. Vibration gets so bad it aggravates my arthritis in my hands.

No but again, I use only the smallest trimmer I could find for weight purpose since I was avoiding a back issue. Just so simple I kept it up. Yeah I have to reload batteries after about 10 minutes but doesn't bother me.

My Ryobi is basically the same size as my straight shaft Husqvarna and Cub Cadet but weighs less and less vibration. And zero vibration when you're not pulling the trigger. My boss let me try his after I always bitch in the spring about the carbs and shit fuel we have. One use and I was sold! It easily will handle my 2 acres on one of their med size batteries and probably would one their smallest one.

I'm sold on this Ryobi crap for basic around the house use like me. Their brand new lipos batteries even work in 20+ year old blue tools that an uncle gave me because the old batteries crapped out. They don't fuck you over on the battery fuckery every few years like the major manufacturers. I had a bunch of Dewalt stuff the battery crapped out on and new batteries and adapters cost more than the new tools with the batteries.

The battery thing alone has sold me on them. They aren't bad tools at all for the cost either. I probably wouldn't use them if I was a carpenter or mechanic that used them all day every day, but for around the house use they have served me just as well as Dewalt did for a fraction of the cost and if the tool or battery dies on me, I can use the battery in any other of the tools, or vise versa.

Have been contemplating one of the battery trimmers. I would probably buy a DeWALT only because I have 8-10 batteries already that will run one. I don’t have too much to trim either, so, the elimination of buying gas and oil would probably be worth it alone to pick one up. I don’t think I would want one if I had to “bush hog” a lot of tall stuff. Like Johnny said, around the house they are probably a great idea.

Lol I have been using an echo for over a decade on nothing but pump gas. Stabil in the winter but didn’t start that until maybe 5 yrs ago. Still starts and runs like a champ. Never a carb issue or any issue for that matter. Probably won’t start next time I pull it out now lol

I have 2 different ones and neither will cut the thick stuff with the string.
Might could get a different head, but haven't looked yet.

My Ryobi has same size string as my Husqvarna and I'd guess same or close to same line speed. It does seem like it goes through string faster for some some reason. No clue why, could be all in my head though...haha

Picked this up for myself for Father’s Day. Now to figure out if I can ride it. Only ridden a dirt bike a couple of times. This thing is a beast. Have riding classes scheduled next month so I can get the insurance discount & not have to take the license test.
