What did you pick up today?

Doesn't fit in the other categories? Maybe just want to post up some humor or random happening? This is the place for it.

Muhahahahhahahahahahaha!

Details to follow.

Charge to repair HK?? :llama:
That was only a $12 rivet and $10 bushing and what ever Cranky charges to install the rivet.

Still waiting for the freakin sharks with freakin laser beams on their head.
But, I did get 2 pallets of sand, 2 pallets of concrete block, 2 pallets of quick crete, pallet of mortar and rebar.
Sounds like a very small fallout shelter. I've met you, you're going to need more supplies if that's what you're building! :-)
I forgot to post this Friday.

What is your plans for the ceiling of it? I'm looking to do something similar if I stay in this house.
1/4 steel plate. I will cut it into 2' wide strips so it's easier to work with. And 4" wide strip welded on one side and bolted to the other at the joints.
For anyone else doing this, use "F" screws in the steel. They cut their own threads so you don't need to try to get a nut on it up there.
I will bolt the steel to angle anchored to the concrete. The angle on the block side will be bent on a break so I can have a side long enough to reach the full row of block. This is a storm shelter that happens to have lots of guns in it. So I am anchoring it down a row of block so it would be harder for a tornado to rip it off.

So you're not worrying about it being fire proof? That makes it easier I bet. Still awesome!

Cool. Had a bunch of people ask where I got mine. Sucked that I had to tell them you quit the business, but now I have somewhere to point them.
