Classifieds Complaint Thread

I've noticed a spike in people making posts on various classifieds (Armslist, etc) just to complain about how much people are asking for their items.

If anyone's interested, I think it'd be funny to compile a list of the ones we like the most. Get them from whatever website you can find or real life conversations.

I'll start. From Armslist:

"You people are asking for more then what your weapons are actually worth. get a grip. any self respecting firearm owner is going to do his or her research before purchasing a weapon new or used. when your prices are more or the same as what a new weapon is going for, then just keep it. dont waste our time. i know i will get flagged but at least i know the smarter buyers are going to agree with me. do your research before you put a price on your weapon. I just like others would rather pay the tax and ffl transfer for a NEW weapon then the same price for yours. Seriously..."

Ok, another one from Armslist:

"Dealers need to cut us a break, the DPMS SPORTICAL below is the same rifle walmart has for less then $600. But you want $750 plus $15 bucks to deliver!?!? Me like most people would rather support our local dealers but you still have to cut us some breaks!"

A guy locally sold a Saiga 12 unconverted with the tapco setup for $1100. I asked him about it and he got all pissy, then it sold. I couldn't believe it.

Like on the other site, I was having a discussion with guy with shop in Mt Washington because he wouldn't tell people prices over the phone. I went and looked at his website and he had some used guns there (more than I would have paid for any) and a glock 26 listed for 550. I was like WTF, no wonder you don't want to tell people prices til they get there. He claims it had night sites and only sold for 485 but the listing clearly shows no description of night sites.

This one isn't a complaint....but funny nonetheless.

DUNNO what they are, we got them in a trade.
There are 485 in a box with no markings.
Update:thanks to a knowledgable replier I have the below findings:
The ammo is 7.62 x 39; manufactured at an unknown factory in the Peoples Republic of China. They are probably 122 gr FMJ, or 125 gr FMJ. This is the ammo that the Chinese used in their SKS and AK-47 clones.
....We now have been told they are worth $150 so either a cash offer is acceptable or a trade for a Walther PP (>?) .22 or a .22 bullet rifle is also OK. "

I had a guy agree to buy one of my guns last week before the madness. We agreed price, location and time of pickup. 4 hours later I get an email that 'HIS WIFE' said No. Really??? Maybe one should get permission from said Wife before shopping online.....

As for the crazy prices with guns and mags. If you don't like 'em then don't buy them. Prior to the election people were fighting for Capitalism vs Socialism and now people are mad at a "Free Market." ????

If you have enough toys then why are you looking at classifieds..... If you can find it cheaper somewhere else then buy it..... Move on.....

The market may settle in a few weeks or month who knows..... But what if prices go even higher in six months and stay there?? Then maybe current prices are a deal. Look at Machine guns 1984....

People can "Ask" what ever they want, don't get mad at them. Most won't get it anyway and if they do why should your blood pressure go up???

We all know KYClassifieds is filled with a bunch of jokers which is probably why most post on here and not there.....

I agreed to buy a 9mm Colt 1911 earlier in the week before all the hype. It was a 70 series and we had agreed to meet at Knob Creek. I planned my next day around it then he said he thinks with recent events he's going to just keep it.

It was an ad from AR15.

I might post a -1 for welching. I sent him a nasty email afterwards and never heard back. Kinda pissed me off.

As for the other whiners about prices, oh well. It's not bread or milk or gas. Nobody NEEDS these mags or ammo or evil black rifles. If you want one right now like the other 50 billion people out there be prepared to pay what someone else is willing to pay.
