glock 26

Post by Thomaswh3 » Sat Apr 04, 2015 8:05 pm

I am looking to buy a Glock 26 . I have a Glock 19 gen 4 that I really like . My neighbor has a has a gen 3 Glock 26 that is new in the box . It is a blue label . He wants $425.00 for it . Are the gen 3's good to go ?

Easy answer, yes.

In my opinion the finish is better on the gen 3's is better than on the gen 4's. The finish on the 3's don't develop the tiny spider web cracks like the 4's do. They also have the dual spring guide rod that is standard in the gen 4's.

I'm a fanboi though.

I prefer the gen3s. Have had quite a few. Never had an issue.

Gen 3 are better than gtg. I would go as far as saying the standard by which striker pistols are judged. PS if someone reads this and is mad, just know it is because it's true and you know it.

In the case of the 26, the differences between 3rd and 4th gen are very minor. Either are good to go.

My 26s are gen4s, but only because the blue label models came with 3 mags, and the gen3 models came with only 2. My 17s and 19s are all gen3.

The gen 3 g26 is GTG I carry one every day but I got a feeling the market is getting ready to be flooded with them as soon as the g43 comes out for sale.

One of my biggest points I brought up every time someone asked why glock didn't make a single stack 9. I have claimed it many times saying they had an easy to sell product before that was proven reliable and profitable without new tooling or engineering.
