Meh....it'll make Glock fanboys' feel happy "down there". I'm sure it'll be a good gun, but so much hype just because it's a Glock, doing something other companies have been doing for years.

Only hype if it doesn't perform. When it does perform it is called truth.

Yea... but I doubt Glock will have to do a factory recall on thousands of guns and have to redesign there system so the gun doesn't slam fire... just sayin *cough* XDs *cough* *cough*

Awaiting the rebuttal to that argument...

No need for a rebuttal. I wasn't saying the XDS was better, hell, didn't even mention the XDS (besides, mines a .45 :llama: ). There's also the Shield. And I also said I'm sure the Glock will be a good gun. Just saying that any other company bringing out a single stack pockets nine at this point would be hardly news. But since it's Glock it's all anyone remotely gun related is talking about. My FB feed has been overflowing the past two days with G43 posts and articles like its the greatest thing since sliced bread and they are the first to do it.

does Glock still state that using lead bullets violate the warranty on their guns?

From Glock website:

Can I use lead bullets?
No, we recommend the use of jacketed ammunition only.

Funny, cause I've seen it all over the place too... but it's mostly people just pumped that Glock FINALLY got off their Austrian Ass and produced the pistol the people have been asking about for the last 2yrs. I haven't seen a single article that has given the perception that Glock has made some kind of revelation in the firearms industry... However I do agree it is being put forth that the G43 will be all that and a bag o' chips lol

And let's be honest when the Shield and the XDs were released, there was plenty of hype to go around.
