F Glock!

Post by KYgundude » Sun Nov 10, 2013 5:47 pm

So I finally had a chance to take my new Gen 4 G19 to the range. My first time shooting it was cranking off some quick rounds to just validate it worked. This time I was able to relax and concentrate on actually shooting. My accuracy was better than norm. The gun fired ridiculously smooth with practically no barrel rise. As much as I hate the checkering it felt really great in my hands with the extended backstrap and was the smoothest firing handgun I have ever used aside from 1911s.

FUCK THIS GUN!! I have tried so damn hard to keep hating Glocks and this piece of shit is blowing the deal.

Should I remind you of the time you explained to me in great detail why the S&W shield was better than any Glock could ever be?

I'd still like to have a G19 in my safe. I'll buy one if I ever see a good deal.

And for EDC Sub Compact class, it is. For range shooting, NOT!

It's all my fault. Sorry to have brought you to the dark side. They get better after a few thousand rounds like most good guns. They aren't fancy and they don't attract everyone's attention at the range but they work well and do what they are suppose to.

I was the same way when I first seen them in 1986.
I bought a Glock 17 in 1988 and it became my favorite handgun and is still!

I've owned a G23 and a G17, shot maybe 5000+ rounds total and still think they suck balls! I absolutely HATE the way they feel in my hands and shoot worse than most anything else similar to them with them. That being said, I can still pretty quickly get lead on my 9 x 9" steel plates and give them props for going bang every time and their simplicity.

Doubtful. I'm not paying a premium for a used g19. People must think they've got gold bars inside them.
