They are saying now that they believe they have the final solution and are thoroughly testing it. I would like a full break down of what caused the problem and how they resolve it

Based on the PR for this so far, I don't see that happening.

Looks like they have a solution, have tested it and have parts coming in next week...
They said they will start shipping upgraded pistols the week of 10/21 ... on a first received, first upgraded basis...
The upgrade consists of a re-engineered grip safety, sear, grip safety spring and sear spring...

Not impressed, they lied to everyone and are trying to misdirect their fumble. If hey said your guns had a new found problem and were searching for a fix so please send them in so they could fix them to operate in a safe manner then I would have been ok with it. They didn't say that and gave out time frames like they had it scheduled out but in reality they just figured out the problem and I think it was the wrong call to make. I didn't buy the XDS but I have bought several Springfield guns in the last few years and I am not really happy with their handling of this and it has left a big black eye on them and I think I will pass them up when my next purchase takes place even if they have an innovative gun come out due to the bad qc letting that out and then lying. Glad you guys are getting them back though since I know you guys who got them love them.

Agreed jack. I am unimpressed with the handling of this mess. The extra mag is nice but not my desired outcome. Now to decide if I sell it or keep it once it comes back.

If they hadn't lied, there wouldn't be an issue. Would the recall have still sucked, absolutely, but I wouldn't be as pissed as I am thinking I should has had my pistol back weeks ago

I'm keeping mine... at least for a while. Had it to the range for the first the day before the recall... and absolutely loved the way it shot... with me behind it...

Just got an email from FedEx. I set up an account to be notified about any packages coming to me. Mine should be home on Friday...now I gotta take the day off so I can be sure I'm home to sign for it, won't let me change it to a pick up...sucks

If Fex ex cannot deliver that day because no ones home to sign, you should be able to pick it up that night at the Fed ex building on I think 9th street. Thats how it worked with my S&W I sent in last year.
