Hodgdon CFE Pistol and 223 Review

Post by Toddstang » Sat Aug 02, 2014 10:05 pm

CFE = Copper Fouling Eraser
Shot over a couple hundred rounds of 9mm and 223 loaded with CFE powder and I have to say that I am impressed. Almost no trace of any copper fouling at all!
Only downside to this powder is it seems to take more grains vs Titegroup and other rifle/pistol powders and the price is about $2-5 more per pound.

I plan on keeping a few mags loaded just to shoot at the end of my range time to clean out the barrel.

That's what I tested today. Shot some WWB 9mm and then put the CFE reloads through the Glock 17.
Cleaned up really well, as did the AR.
