My newer Lee 9mm decapper snapped while depriming yesterday. It had done somewhere in the neighborhood of 600 rounds before the tiny end snapped like a fat kids back getting off the couch for a cup cake.
Enter a 20 year old RCBS die set that a friend gave me a few weeks ago. Older and rusty I oiled this thing down and decapped over 500 rounds tonight with no problem. Plus the fact that if the RCBS does break a tip, you can buy replacement pins for cheap and not a whole decap center like the Lee.
My friend gave me his whole RCBS set up as well and as old as it is, I would have to say it is hands down a better set up then the Lee.
Just my opinion and view of the two.

I use a universal lee de-capper and have cose to 2500rds with no issue.They will send you a new rod if you send the broke one in.

That's worth noting ... I have broken one myself ... used it for around 1,000 rds and it caught a cartridge crosswise ... and it broke right off ... imagine that ...

Let me guess: either military 5.56 or 9mm brass, right?

Crimped primers are a bitch to get out, but worse yet, it's nearly impossible to install fresh primers w/o swaging or reaming the primer pocket. Swaging works better, but proper tools are expensive.

Correct. The RCBS kept on going without a hiccup.
I have the swager. Takes longer but it works.

Lee still makes a good product, but this RCBS is really good.

With the RCBS you don' have to send the old pin in just call them and they will send you a package of five pins. I have no beef with Lee I have Lee products. The Lyman on the other hand did not have a replaceable pin and the woman I talked to thought she was Gods gift to mankind.

I use a Lee Turret press and it's been bullet proof (pun intended!!) through waaaay more rounds than I could count!! I'm sure their all good products!
I reload everything in handgun rounds from the .380 right up thru 45lc! Reloading is like having a second hobby, and ...... I never have to worry about where my next rounds will be coming from!

I've been wanting to reload for a couple years. I've been reading and I've aquired a few things but I'm planning to get a press and the rest of it soon.
