PRVI Partizan brass?

Post by Mexican Kerry » Sat Mar 24, 2012 11:19 pm

Anybody have any experience with this Serbian ammo? Wondering if its decent quality for loading, or should a person stay away from it?

No idea. Was looking for some .357 this morning on the way to my parents, it was the only brand available at the roadside gunshop that was open. Picked up a couple boxes just so I'd have something to shoot. It worked fine, I'm just curious about recycling the brass.

I've used a lot PRVI brass for reloading both rifle and pistol cartridges and it has consistantly worked great for me. I bought a bunch of new 7.62x54R brass from them to develop hunting loads for my PSL, and I find that their new brass is very consistant, and has been a real plus to determining the recipe for my loads. I now have some PSL brass that has been reloaded 12-15 times (via a Lee hand press at the shooting bench while running loads over the Chrony) that show no ill effects.

Good to hear. First time I've used it (factory loaded) and it seems fine. Glad to hear there are people re using the brass, I hate buying one time use ammo.

I have used Prvi partizan brass for my 7.5x55 Swiss rifles, 7.62x54R, 8 x56R and 6.5x55 Swede with no problems. Another thing, Wolf GOLD is loaded by Prvi and is Boxer primed.

And the ammo is good stuff too. The biggest fireball I have seen from a Mosin-Nagant was using PP 150 gr. soft-point ammo.

I'd rate PRVI way above Remington brass, above Winchester brass, but below Lapua brass (which costs a LOT more).

When I started loading 7.5X55 Swiss for my K31, I bought new PRVI brass. It's good stuff IMO.
