The mustang absolutely spanks the camaro in all events but seeing that the camaro is running a 3.73 rearend and the mustang has a 3.31 rear gear, the camaro will seem be much faster when it pulls away from a mustang if its a rolling start at hwy speed like 55mph.

The ZL1 is a 2013 that was released this summer. Same for the Vettes, the 60th anniversary Z06 and ZR1 are both already out.

I am GM always will be. In the showdown I saw the Mustang was 64000 as tested and the Camaro was 56000 as tested. I think all you Mustang lovers should go shake the hands of the Camaro engineers as you would have never got this version if not for the ZL1. I will never be able to afford either so it is just a pissing match to me. I however really do like the Caddy CTS-V wagon.

I think you got that backwards. The zl1 came about as a challenger to the shelby gt500.
You are right about price as tested but the "base model" gt500 is cheaper. If you can call any gt500 a "base model".
And as far as shaking hands, the chevy engineers can shake my hand for subsidizing the cost of their crappy automobiles with my tax dollars.
