New ride

Post by drewhenderson13 » Tue Jul 03, 2012 6:51 am

Hey guys, I haven't been on here too much lately. Whenever summer rolls around I always spend less time online and more time outside. I just thought I'd stop in and show off my new wheels. I traded my black 02 gt for an 03 cobra and boot. This car is retarded fast and it only has exhaust on it.

I already have a mgw shifter on order, the stock shifter feels like its made of cheese. I'll end up putting a jlt cold air intake on it too. Beyond that I haven't decided but I'll probably end up doing a pulley and all that good stuff too. Might get the supercharger ported too.

I already did. I kept the smoked headlights and taillights off my old car. I put the smoked headlights in last night, I'm probably gonna leave the stock taillight in.

It should be right around 400hp with the exhaust. Idk about the torque.

Oh yeah, it definately needs gears ASAP. I had 4.10's in my gt and these 3.55's just don't cut it

Oh yeah, if your planning to make any serious numbers and run sticky tires, you should probably read up on scrapping that weaksauce IRS.....its not a question of "if" but "when" its gonna have a catastrophic come-apart

The IRS should be good with 500hp and stickey tires if I pedal out of wheel hop. I kinda like the way the IRS feels on the street.

Keeping the black car clean was an absolute nightmare. I'm not very pickey on car colors, but I really like the redfire. It's about, if not exactly, the same color as my ranger.

I miss my yellow 02. As soon as my son is out of the house , im replacing it with an SS Camaro. That gives me a few years to save and figure out which mods to do first. Im preparing my wife now.
