F--- Winter!
Had to get the Chevy out this week. Still dicey weather, it snows one night and the next day its +20 C. Tired of winter, can't wait.
Still storing it at the shop for now but had it out a few times to make noise. Put 200 miles on it last Sunday when I went on a parts run and met an old Tri Five dude and spent some money.
Its dirty and it knows it. The family dubbed it "Cherry Bomb" but its really Vicki Vallencourt.

Know a guy that had one in his field years ago, but it had trees growing thru the hood and bed

I've never seen one. I thought it was a one off build.JustShootIt wrote:No doubt...Livewire wrote:That thing is sweet.

There's a guy out west building crew cab short bed C-10's from the 1967-1972 body style. They are nice looking and he'll put whatever running gear you want, from a 572 crate to a 6.6 duramax.

Ya its a custom, they did not make extended cabs until the 80s, they had crew cabs earlier but not extended cabs. Its a 1966 , and short of the wheels , it could pass for all stock. I love the fact that he put a huge amount of work in to it , just to leave it a stock looking truck, you kinda got to know what your looking at to really appreciated it.

Re: F--- Winter!
I didn't know that. I thought 1988 was the first year for the extended cab. I've seen some fabbed extended cab trucks in the 1973-1987 body style but I wasn't sure if they were home jobs or a conversion offered by a third party. There's a company now offering a long bed option on the mega cab dodge platform. That thing is longer then a semi truck.JustShootIt wrote:I had to look it up ..son of liberty wrote:Ya its a custom, they did not make extended cabs until the 80s, they had crew cabs earlier but not extended cabs. Re: F--- Winter!
Slightly off topic: blew up my diff tonight. Lots of chatter and grinding.
At least I now have an excuse to replace it.
