It's about the same as the other 1 ton rears, 14b 10 1/4 d60 etc.

Sterling 10.5 is really the same as the older 10 1/4's but with disk brakes and 8x170 bolt pattern

Un sprung weight that's staying low to the ground isn't really too much of a bad thing in a crawler though. Keeps the tires planted and more stable.

Hurts ground clearance a fair amount, and for the playing I do it's just too much size (definitely too much for the 120 or so horsepower of the 22r 1st gen). Especially when the Yota axles are pretty badass for the size. A D44 can be also in a smaller lighter package than the 60. D44 is probably what will end up under the front of this 3rd gen. Not knocking the Sterling or the 60. If I ever build something with some power, I definitely would be happy with that combo.

What color will the vinyl top be?

Crush, kill, mangle, maim, destroy.

Back end done... Hopefully don't fuck nothing major up at DTOR next weekend before I get some protection on it. Next up some front end body shape up while I'm looking for a solid front axle to put under it.

Fun times were had yesterday! Poser pics. You know, since we had a Jeep guy with us and that's what they do...haha I didn't break anything. Only a few new dents and a little less paint. Had a blast! Jeep guy got his first boo-boo...haha Took out his passenger mirror and got a small dent in his hatch.

Stupid question, why cut up the back of a 4runner to make a 1 ft bed? Or any suv? I'd rather have the bigger closed in storage space myself...

If its just for the sake of doing it, cool I guess, I spent my winter making a tilt front for my Chevy even though its arguably heavier. Just wondering if there's an actual benefit to it.

When playing in the woods in an suv, it's aways the area that seems to get crushed. Already happened once, and why I did this. Also I plan to swap it to propane at some point and don't want the tank inside.
