Started life as a 400 (those were essentially a tall deck Cleveland block with a big block tranny bolt pattern) with low emission, high restriction boat anchor heads. I bored it to a 408 and put flat top pistons in it. Dyno numbers were just over 200/350. I put on Cleveland heads, custom intake manifold spacers, and a Cleveland manifold, and a 750 street demon. Numbers now are 500/550. Tranny is NP435 4-speed. Feels like an overdrive with 37" meats
