Playin in the Chevy
Thought I'd post some pics of me cruising in a creek in my lifted 96 Chevy today. First real opportunity to play with it.

Re: Playin in the Chevy
This is my first 4-wheel drive. Still a work in progress. Crate 350, new trans with heavy duty everything, rear diff rebuilt with eaton posi, rough country 6" suspension lift and 315-65-16 bf Goodrich km2 tires. Been a money pit, but a lot of fun to drive.

Surprised it made into the creek without breaking something. It is a Chevy, after all!

If it flips, I'll just roll it all the way and keep on drivin. Ride it till the wheels fall off, put em back on, ride it some more.

Re: Playin in the Chevy
I've played offroad with a lot of different people and vehicles and mid/late 80's and newer Chevy/GMC's in the STOCK form have to be hands down the shittiest offroaders...haha Granted, most all full size trucks suck now days. A little ground clearance and some lockers make all the difference in the world though. They have good power but zero ground clearance from the factory and 98% of the time spin 1 front, 1 rear tire and get stuck if someone peed on a dry trail...haha

Yeah, this thing sucked stock. The eaton posi made all the difference in the world. Couldn't tell you how many times my buddies stock 4-runner had to pull me out. Next year I plan on a solid front axle swap and 40"s. That should be fun.

Re: Playin in the Chevy
That will be awesome! It's amazing what just a little work to them does. All the trucks and SUVs should have stuck with solid front axles. Newer vehicles are more 4wd grocery getters or station wagons than real trucks or SUV's...
