WTB: 1911, Dan Wesson, Ed Brown, ????

Post by BK Meyers » Sun Jan 14, 2018 6:54 pm

Hello all,
I'm considering adding another 1911 to the safe. I've got a couple of units already, ranging from Taurus to a Dan Wesson Valor.

Am considering another DW Valor but this time the Blue model (#1863). Also have been looking at the DW Specialist (Black, #1992).

On the higher end of my $$ scale is the Ed Brown Special Forces (in Black and Battle Bronze).

On the absolute upper end of my $$ scale is the Wilson Combat CQB. I missed a really good deal on a CQB this past Fall but due to a scheduled medical procedure I could not travel very far. I'm still kicking myself over that one.

Right now just researching prices and seeing what is available and where. If you know of anyone who may have one of these pistols for sale pls let me know.

Thx,
BK

Wilson combat CQB’s can be had like new at $2200. That’s what I sold mine for. Paid like $1800 for it. I miss that gun though.

I don’t have any high end 1911’s anymore, but I do have a few TRP’s. They are great guns also for the price.

Bumping this back up!!!

Trying to narrow the search down. On the hunt for the following:

Dan Wesson Specialist in .45 acp, full size in Duty Finish (Black) model #1992

Les Baer Premier ll in .45 acp, model #LBP2302(?)

Pls contact me if you know of one of these units for sale locally. Grabagun has the DW in stock and Buds is showing the Baer but it would be really nice to find one of these pistols in good but used condition and price.

Thx

My search is over (kind of!).

I found a used Dan Wesson Specialist in Bowling Green yesterday.

Truth be told I'm still looking for a smoking deal on a Wilson Combat CQB :D
