A coworker recently bought a Ruger AR from Academy and got a free 10/22 with it. Sold the AR for whatever going rate is and end up getting the 10/22 for $100 after the sale. Pretty slick deal if you feel like messing around with that. Not sure if it was an Academy or a Ruger deal. Or if it's even still going on. Just a possible good deal.

Would be happy with the standard model #1103 (carbine, 18.5" barrel and wood stock). I also like the model #1256 (carbine, 18.5" barrel, synthetic stock).
I'd consider other models but these 2 are the ones that I would prefer.
Found the #1103 at Academy for $210 plus tax. The 10/22 seems to hold it's value well on the used market but was hoping to find one around $165-$175 used. May be waiting for Black Friday deals if I don't find something in the next few weeks. Ky Gun will be starting their Fall sale this wknd so maybe???

Yeah, if you find a used one under new price it's usually ruff as hell. You find a deal on occasion though. I found a like new 50th anniversary synthetic 16.5" one for $150 at All Star or 5 Star pawn in LaGrange a while back. This are few and far between. Kygunco had them on sale for $169 4th of July I think. I bet they'll do it again whatever next big sale is.

I also like this one from PSA and that is a good price. Nothing says I can't have 2 10/22's is there???
