The 22/45 version is supposed to be in the works and mag plates to adapt the older 22/45 to make them work also are in the works. I REALLY want one...

That was stolen also. DEFINITELY my favorite straight out of the box. Only thing I didn't like was the grip. Didn't hate it, but didn't like it either... These grips pretty much felt the same also. Maybe a tiny improvement though...

The Victory is also a very worthy piece as a suppressor host. My suggestion was based on the mags he already has, etc.

Crush, kill, mangle, maim, destroy.

School me. What makes the 22/45 a 22/45, and why would I want it over the others? Is it just the polymer frame?

1911 style grip. Can use 1911 grip panels. Controls similar to 1911. And I'm pretty sure they use different mags than the normal ruger 22 pistols so if he's already got a stash of mags for one it wouldn't make sense to get a normal MkIII or IV

Grip angle is quite a bit different also. Like the difference between 1911 or Glock grip angle. The base on the mags are different for sure. The rest of the mag looks the same. I'm not sure if you can change just the base and make the mags work in either or not. They look like you could. 22Plinkster was talking about the new 22/45 and the adapter bases for the 22/45 IV's...

I have a Mk II and a couple of 22/45s. I find i shoot the 22/45s more due to being a more familiar grip angle and easier to switch guns on. If i am going to work a single gun only in a range session, i'll pull out the Mkii. All shoot nicely, though.

Anyone see any deals on a 22/45 or SW22 Victory?
