You can buy pretty good brass (nearly all of it only once fired) in 5 gal buckets for cheap from TG&G. It will need to be sorted and cleaned, but for the price, I've found the effort worthwhile. Also, you can sell the stuff you don't want or need and recoup most, if not all, of your initial investment.
