custom knife

A Soldier in my Troop also doubles as a custom knife maker before he came in. So I charged him with the task of maing me a knife with just a few things to go on and let him go free with the design. Here are pictures of the process so far. He is not done yet, and will be sending more. I will update it as I get them.

Mine is just one of the custom orders he is doing in two weeks

Nice... Cool filework on the spine, too. The handle looks like it will be awfully tall, but maybe that's just to me.

Reminds of a tanto Tom Halloran made for a guy recently, except with a dropped point instead of a double edge.

I've been wishing I had the tools to get into knife making, for personal blades and for friends/family, for years now.

Just needs the blade cut and sharpened then it will be done. Placed in a built wooden case with glass top.

kyswede....on my phone i only see the blue square with the ? in it, but on my home pc all is good. thought it was just me though. no idea why. all phone settings are the same as they have always been. any ideas anyone?
