What did this run you? Where'd you find it?

Got both on ebay. I gave $80.00 for the knife and $39.00 for the sheath. The auction for the sheath is here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271087630579?ss ... 1439.l2649

Looks like the snap that holds the knife would be hard to unsnap when u have it on your belt.....?

Nope, works very well, just like a thumb break snap on a holster. Drawing the blade is nearly effortless, but resheathing is going to take a little practice.

Re: My new ESEE 3 & Ranger sheath
I like the split belt loops, they allow me to put one on either side of the center belt loop on my pants and helps keep it from shifting around when I'm sitting down. The size is just perfect and allows me to adjust where it rides against my back without getting uncomfortable, which is huge for me, since it rides right on top of multiple surgical sites & scars.
I also like how sharp the blade is out of the box on these ESEE knives, and how long they'll stay that way. The only others I have experience with that are like that are my favorite San Mai blades from Sog & Cold Steel. I also have one of the Zero Tolerance knives with the ceramic/steel composite blades that is layered like the San Mai blades that has really impressed me. That one I have been carrying and using regularly for going on 2 years is still shaving sharp & I have yet to need to resharpen it.
For the money, these ESEE knives are showing thier quality. You could pay a lot more and get a lot less for it from some other knife companies. I now have a 3, 5, & 6 and have been thoroughly impressed by all 3 blades. The big brothers reside in my BOB & survival/med kit.
I'll quit rambling now.
