The next time I say.. "Oh, that won't be a problem it shouldn't take that long" Someone grab a rolled up newspaper and beat my A$$ like a dog who just pissed on the antique oriental rug!
The TT Pulaski I've been working on had a lot of mushrooming on the top of the eye from someone beating it back on the handle. I figured zip-zap on the belt sander and maybe a little hand filing. I was sorely mistaken. It took about 45 minutes with a combo of flat and round files to re-profile the top of the eye and deal with the ridges. By the way, I hate eye ridges!
True Temper Pulaski 3.3lb FSS on a Killinger 30" vintage slim taper handle. A forestry service tool that combines an axe for chopping and a hoe for grubbing to make a fire line break on wild land fires. (the chineesium bastardized tool thingy you get from home-despot or lows is a maddox)
