Esee 4/5

Post by Ian » Tue May 15, 2012 9:51 pm

From some of you guys who hunt/fish. Which esee knife would be a better buy the 4 or the 5? I need opinions on this as I am looking to pick one up for my dad for his birthday. I pm'd bigc on pricing and availability so just looking to make my mind up and get some suggestions.

I would say probably the 4. The 5 is a lot thicker and heavier. Unless he's gonna chop down trees with it....then get the 5...lol

either one will kick ass though.

To be quite honest, he would get the most use out of an Esee 3... that's just my .02. However, out of the two you have listed, I would go with the 4.

Hey, sometimes you just have to cut through the skin of an aircraft.... or sometimes you just want to. You never know what the day may hold.

I almost think the 5 should have not even fallen in the number line. Should have had its own name like the Izula and Junglas

I'll be going with the 4 then! Probably going to pick up two of them. I will be needing to add one for myself as soon as they come back in stock.

IMHO Ian you would probably be better to go with a 3 mil, there is not a whole lot of difference in the 3 and 4 and for the use you describe the 3 would seem to be a better fit....
